Our History
Economic Development for the Third Industrial Revolution
The Third Industrial Revolution, a term popularized by economist Jeremy Rifkin, in his book The Third Industrial Revolution: How Lateral Power is Transforming Energy, the Economy, and the World (2011), marks the transition to digital technology, renewable energy, and automation. This era merges communication and energy systems to create a sustainable, interconnected global economy—a principle that guides our work at Modern Society Labs (MSL). Rifkin outlined how these innovations would transform industrial systems and redefine global economic practices.
As such, MSL was founded with a mission to revolutionize economic development and financial inclusion through innovative technology solutions. Established in 2020, in Kansas City, Missouri, by a team of entrepreneurs with over 30 years of experience in Blockchain and Digital Assets, the organization emerged from a deep understanding of the systemic barriers faced by underserved communities in accessing capital and economic opportunities. Since its inception, we have focused on leveraging blockchain technology and decentralized finance to create tools and platforms that address these challenges. By combining this with expertise in AI, Blockchain, IoT Infrastructure, and community engagement, MSL has established itself as a leader within Web3 using this new technology to drive meaningful social impact.
